McAfee Service Provider Programs
As the complexity and frequency of security threats increases, McAfee understands the position of trust that Telecommunications Providers, Service Providers and Systems Integrators [henceforth communally referred to as Service Providers] now find themselves in with their customers. In particular, McAfee understands the opportunity this represents for Service Providers to deploy security as a subscription service which will protect customer applications, their networks and their data, either at home, or in a business environment.
Telecommunications Providers, Service Providers and Systems Integrators who offer either
- high-speed broadband connectivity to Consumers, Small to Medium-sized businesses or Enterprises,
- or who currently design, deploy and/or support network infrastructure and services for businesses
are now in a unique position to grow their business revenues by including Security as Value Added Service to their customers and existing service subscribers.
With over ten years experience in providing proven security solutions, McAfee has designed a range of security software services and appliances which address the needs of each of the Service Provider Consumer, SMB or Enterprise markets. These solutions allow Service Providers to either
- design, construct and deploy outsourced managed security services on behalf of their customers which are hosted, managed and controlled by a small, elite group of Service Provider security personnel
- or provide automated, in the cloud security services which are hosted by McAfee but co-branded and sold by the Service Provider to customers which they control.
Knowing that all Service Providers and country markets are not alike, McAfee enables Service Providers to build or deploy security services that are based upon their areas of expertise or commercial needs, and which once deployed, will also create exciting up-sell opportunities for Service Providers with existing and new customers.
To combat the recent developments in the scope and complexity of malware, along with the growing threat from attackers who attempt to illegally gain network access, McAfee now provides several suites of software and security appliances from which Service Providers may build solutions to offer their customers comprehensive security protection. Such solutions go beyond the scope offered by traditional Anti-Virus solutions, and when implemented together may now provide comprehensive security that can:
1: protect the data being created, processed and stored on desktops and files servers within a customer’s organisation.
2: protect the business applications and processes which run on the company desktops and file-servers.
3: protect the data being transmitted across and between company networks from corruption and illegal interception.
4: protect organisations from the negative affects that may result from being connected to the internet and allowing them to benefit securely from the benefits internet connectivity can bring.
5: assist and guide companies to understand the level of risk their existing network may expose them to, whilst providing proven methodologies to enable customers to proactively minimise their risk exposure and enhance their network security.
6: provide help and guidance to customers who would like assistance in complying with government or regulatory guidelines on network security.

This programme is designed to assist McAfee partners in growing their revenues by helping them deliver market leading security solutions that address their customers needs.
